The Stamp Pad Workshops. August 2017

General Information.
The following information should provide the answers to the most frequently asked questions and help you to plan your workshop bookings and get the most from them.
However, if there is something we have missed, please feel free to get in touch and just ask – we are here to help you.

The workshops are mostly priced at £15.00 for the standard 2 ½ hour sessions but occasionally it might be necessary to charge a bit more and certainly, longer or all day classes do cost more and these will be indicated next to each class description.

Pre-booking is essential to allow us to prepare the classes and make sure we have enough kits ready. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Should a class need to change or is cancelled by us, we will be happy to refund your fee or swap it to another class of your choice.
Leaving your booking to the last minute means you run the risk of not being able to join your chosen class, either because it is full or because the class has been cancelled due to lack of numbers, so it really is helpful for us to receive bookings as soon as possible.

We have a dedicated workshop space, downstairs from the shop with level access from the back if you have difficulty with stairs. It is a light, bright space with great facilities.
Please try to avoid bringing huge craft bags as floor space quickly gets cluttered and it isn’t really necessary. We provide all materials but it is really helpful but not essential, if you can bring your basics with you. We also keep you supplied with tea & coffee.

What to bring with you.
It is suggested to bring along the following items:
(but not essential if you don’t have them);
Craft Mat/non stick craft sheet – this is for messy stuff
Cutting Mat - green rubber type – this is for cutting on when using a craft knife.
Craft Knife – always make sure your blade is sharp and carry spare blades.
Scissors, large and fine tipped
Trimmer/guillotine – needed for cutting card, paper and also for scoring.
Score board if you have one or your trimmer isn’t good for scoring.
Tweezers
Bone folder
Paint brushes
Ink Applicators or sponge
Old towel
Apron
A selection of glues –both liquid craft glues and double sided tapes.
Foam Pads

Not all of these items will be used on every session but it is good practice to have a workshop kit ready to go with you. However, please don’t worry that you might not have everything, we do have spares and we can help you to complete your essentials as you go.

So, all that said, welcome to our next programme of workshops here at The Stamp Pad.

This programme is based on products and techniques that were featured at our Open Day, so if you were able to attend that, you will have had a sneaky peek about what's what.
If you didn't, don't worry, we are holding our next Open Day on Bank Holiday Monday 28th August which will showcase September’s workshops. After that we will try to hold one each month to preview what the next month's workshops will feature.
