Winter Wishes Stepper Card.

My friend Sharon Bramley has a lot to answer for because she forced me to buy this stepper die just last week! She told me I "needed" to have it and that I would regret it if I didn't. No, only joking but she did show me how fantastic it really is and Yes, it is.

So, the base card is cut using the die - easy peasy, no measuring or folding, it's all done for you. It even has dies that cut the paper for the panels and the inside - a complete card on one die set.
This has been topped with a Nellie Snellen die cut circle, a punched hang tag and a Marianne Bowmaker die, (also a fantastic die to use). Very effective and very easy - Sharon - you were right - I love it!

White Christmas. ( With a bit of blue !)

I really like white on white design for Christmas cards and it can be quite tricky as not all whites are the same, which sounds mad but it's true. This card started out with the intention of being all white but then I decided to use a rich blue to give it a bit of oomph.

The background is an embossing folder with large snowflakes all over it. This has been painted with Mod Podge Sparkle to give it a lovely irridescent sparkle.
You may just be able to make that out in this image a bit better.

The blue peel off has been mounted onto white card and cut out, then topped with a spotted embossed panel and a die-cut Merry Christmas which has also been Mod Podged. Some pretty white lace and a few blue gems complete the design.

Forest of Christmas Trees.

This card is a tent fold and has a BoBunny Double Dot paper background, framing the chevron cut foiled trees panel. A fluffy bow and some frosted dots finish off. The Merry Christmas message comes ready cut and just needs to be snipped from its surround.

Bunches of Holly.

Again an A6 card but this time it is folded on the left hand side to create a landscape card. The holly design is created with a punch and repeated along the red border but also used as a feature on the central panel.

Winter Wonderland

This card is very fresh looking and quite simple.
A panel of white, star embossed card is layered onto a tent fold white A6 card. Three narrow strips of paper cut with chevron ends, inked lightly create the left hand detail. The house has been die cut from a 12x12 sheet and matted onto a larger white shape. A punched snowflake and a bit of Glamour dust finish the look.

Funky Baubles.

I love this Kaisercraft foiled bauble paper and I found a lovely stamp that complimented it perfectly. So I stamped and embossed the bauble onto minty green card and then matted it onto silver satin card to create a topper. The horizontal panel is embossed with one of the older Cuttlebug folders ( I think it was called Snow Dots) and some spotty ribbon is added across the top of that.

Coffee & Cream Christmas.

This is a zig-zag folded card, topped with card which has a punched edge, ( EK Success, it punches and embosses some detail), embossed paper with the same edge, a label die and a ready made topper. A few topaz coloured gems just finish it off.

The first picture shows how the card is folded and constructed.

This image shows the beautiful embossed pattern on the cream paper a little bit more clearly.

More from the bumper Christmas workshops.

The next few cards are all from our recent Saturday bumper Christmas workshop. All the ladies produced some lovely cards and we had great fun and consumed lots of cake all washed down with lashings of tea!
The cards are quite simple but then we are talking about speedy crafting!

Hobby House Snow Princess.

Isn't she lovely?
This card shows one of the Hobby House toppers and the snowflake card is also theirs. Teamed with some glittery, swirly hand made paper and some gorgeous pearl trim. The die is a Marianne oval and also the poinsettia is from Marianne. A little bit of stickles and a pearl add the finishing touches.

The workshop ladies were also given an alternative topper for the same card which is layered with
a square die from Cheery Lynn.
